# Making Room? Is Now Available on Steam for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Making Room? is available now on Steam for Windows, macOS, and Linux following its October 30, 2026 release. The game is developed and published by VAINSANE. Its Steam page is available at https://store.steampowered.com/app/5428460/.

In this short psychological horror visual novel, rent is unpaid, an apartment is flooding, and Var is struggling to get her roommates to help. Dre wants to put down the mop, while Spoo wants to speak, but neither appears able to refuse after Var writes a job on an old chore chart.

Players select Var’s responses and decisions in a written story as the three housemates investigate what the chart can do. The game contains seven choices and three endings, with themes of roommate resentment, coercion, unpaid rent, and the fear of losing an affordable home.

The presentation combines animated character closeups, diorama rooms, stark paper inserts, and shifting camera compositions. Music and authored sound cues accompany the story’s arguments, discoveries, and scene changes.

A separate Steam demo page is available at https://store.steampowered.com/app/5428480/. More information about VAINSANE is available at https://vainsane.com/.
