# Murmuring of Moth Mouth, a Psychological Horror Visual Novel from VAINSANE, Is Available Now on Steam

Murmuring of Moth Mouth is available now on Steam for Windows, macOS, and Linux following its October 2, 2026 release. A separate demo is also available. The game is developed and published by VAINSANE.

The short psychological horror visual novel follows Yuna, who is driving to an interview that could change her life after unpaid rent and another failed opportunity. Although she leaves with an hour to spare, her estimated arrival time keeps slipping further away on an almost empty highway.

A sender called Dead Channel has an eleven-year-old recording of Yuna’s drive. A voice in its damaged audio warns her not to take the left exit, while her navigation tells her to turn left. When the girl from the recording appears in the road and enters the passenger seat, Yuna must decide how long she will continue following instructions that seem to help while raising new questions about where they are leading her.

The story also involves Orzi, who knows what Dead Channel promises desperate people, and Pimmy, who holds further information at the Waystation. Through uneasy conversations and changing promises, the game examines the comfort of being told what to do and the difficulty of stopping the wait for life to begin.

Player choices shape Yuna’s progress and lead to three distinct endings. The presentation combines orthographic environments, cinematic backdrops, dramatic character close-ups, unsettling motion graphics, road ambience, an eerie soundtrack, and damaged recordings.
