Overview
Mayday Trials is a short psychological horror visual novel developed and published by VAINSANE Studios. Players guide Sora Halbeth, a tech prodigy and CEO who wakes in an interrogation room with 24 hours to live. He must undergo five psychological trials corresponding to denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. Through simulations of his past, revelations about his family, and moral dilemmas, Sora confronts questions about his origins, identity, and success while the voice of Mayday manipulates him. A full playthrough lasts around one hour, and player decisions lead to one of three endings. Mayday Trials was released on June 17, 2025, and is available on Steam for Windows, macOS, and Linux. A separate demo is also available on Steam.
